Chet computed tomography and mediatinocopy in the diagnoi of arcoidoi-aociated uveiti

Purpoe: To report the uefulne of chet computed tomography and mediatinocopy in diagnoing arcoidoi in elderly patient with uveiti. Method: Cae report. Two Caucaian women, aged 73 and 70 year, underwent evaluation for uveiti, which included chet computed tomography and mediatinocopy. Reult: A chet computed tomographic can of each woman dicloed mediatinal lymphadenopathy and warranted mediatinal lymph node biopy by mediatinocopy. In both patient, hitopathologic and microbiologic tudie demontrated terile noncaeating granuloma conitent with the diagnoi of arcoidoi. Concluion: The diagnoi of arcoid-aociated uveiti in the elderly may be facilitated by chet computed tomography, which may be more enitive than conventional chet roentgenography. Laboratory tudie of biopied mediatinal node obtained by mediatinocopy can confirm the diagnoi.
