Familial dyplaminogenemia with central retinal vein and cilioretinal artery occluion

PURPOE: To report a 49-year-old woman with unilateral central retinal vein occluion and ipilateral cilioretinal artery occluion who howed familial dyplaminogenemia aociated with elevated lipoprotein(a). METHOD: Cae report. REULT: Extenive hemotatic and coagulation tudie for caue of thromboi, a well a family tudie, dicloed decreaed plaminogen activity without reduction of plaminogen antigen in the patient, her two ibling, and her two children. The patient alo howed elevated lipoprotein(a). CONCLUION: The combination of decreaed plaminogen activity and elevated lipoprotein(a) hould be conidered a a poible caue of retinal vein and artery occluion.
