Ptoi in Waldentröm’ macroglobulinemia

PURPOE: To report a cae of chronic, progreive unilateral blepharoptoi in a 73-year-old woman with Waldentröm’ macroglobulinemia. METHOD: Cae report. A biopy wa performed on a thickened and indurated taral plate that we believed had reulted in mechanical blepharoptoi. REULT: Hitologic and immunohitochemitry tudie of the biopy pecimen demontrated a lymphoplamacytoid cell infiltrate with monoclonal antibodie conitent with Waldentröm’ macroglobulinemia. CONCLUION: Involvement of the taral conjunctiva and taru in Waldentröm’ macroglobulinemia i a newly recognized caue of eyelid thickening and ptoi.
