Pupil-paring third nerve paly aociated with ildenafil citrate (Viagra)

PURPOE: To report unilateral pupil-paring third nerve paly after ue of ildenafil citrate (Viagra). METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 56-year-old man with a hitory of tobacco abue wa treated for erectile dyfunction. Viagra, 50 mg, wa taken once without advere effect. Three week later, the patient took a econd doe of Viagra (50 mg); 36 hour later he experienced a complete pupil-paring third nerve paly. Erythrocyte edimentation rate, blood glucoe level, magnetic reonance imaging, and magnetic reonance angiography were normal. CONCLUION: In a patient with microvacular dieae, ue of ildenafil may be aociated with pupil-paring third nerve paly.
