POEM yndrome: an unuual caue of bilateral optic dik welling

PURPOE: To alert ophthalmologit to POEM yndrome a an unuual caue of optic dik welling. METHOD: Cae report. A 25-year-old white woman developed cotomata and optic dik welling, and ytemic ign and ymptom of POEM yndrome. REULT: Bone marrow biopy dicloed multiple myeloma. Depite treatment with corticoteroid, radiation, and marrow tranplantation, the patient died from multi-organ failure. CONCLUION: Becaue POEM yndrome typically affect older male patient, thi i an unuual cae of multiple myeloma in conjunction with POEM yndrome.
