Recurrent nodular cleriti aociated with varicella zoter viru

PURPOE: To decribe a cae of recurrent nodular cleriti that wa apparently caued by reactivation of a varicella zoter viru infection. METHOD: Cae report. Immunohitochemitry and polymerae chain reaction were ued to detect viral antigen and DNA in the biopy pecimen of inflamed clera of a patient with a hitory of recurrent nodular cleriti. REULT: Immunohitochemitry and polymerae chain reaction dicloed varicella zoter viru protein and DNA in the biopy pecimen of inflamed clera from the patient. The cleriti reolved with oral famciclovir therapy. CONCLUION: Reactivation of latent varicella zoter viru and direct viral invaion of clera apparently caued the recurrent anti-inflammatory reitant cleriti in our patient.
