Cytoid macular edema aociated with latanoprot in aphakic and peudophakic eye

PURPOE: To decribe four patient who developed cytoid macular edema hortly after onet of treatment with latanoprot. METHOD: Retropective review of medical record of patient with open-angle glaucoma who developed cytoid macular edema hortly after tarting latanoprot. REULT: The ue of topical latanoprot wa temporally related to the development of cytoid macular edema in four patient (ix eye; two aphakic eye and four peudophakic eye). Cytoid macular edema reolved in all patient after latanoprot wa dicontinued. CONCLUION: Cytoid macular edema i a potential complication of latanoprot therapy. Further obervation are needed to determine if the rik of cytoid macular edema i limited to or greatet in patient who are peudophakic or aphakic.
