Neurotrophic corneal defect after diode laer cycloablation

PURPOE: To report the occurrence of neurotrophic corneal defect after ciliary body ablation with the diode laer. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: Neurotrophic keratiti, previouly aociated with cyclocryotherapy, may alo be aociated with ciliary body ablation with a contact diode laer. CONCLUION: Practitioner who ue the diode laer for ciliary body ablation hould be aware of neurotrophic keratiti a a poible complication, epecially becaue the patient population receiving thi therapy may have diabete, chronic eye inflammation, or other condition predipoing to compromied corneal innervation, which i neceary for epithelial integrity.
