Abstract :
PURPOE: To report the ue of ultraound biomicrocopy for preoperative aement of anterior proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
METHOD: Cae report. In a 35-year-old man with tractional retinal detachment and anterior proliferative vitreoretinopathy, we ued ultraound biomicrocopy with UX-02 (Rion Co Ltd, Tokyo, Japan) to perform the preoperative analyi of the ciliary body, anterior vitreou, and detached peripheral retina.
REULT: In all meridian, the poterior inertion of the vitreou wa drawn anteriorly, creating a retinal trough, and the meridian ditance between the anterior and poterior vitreou bae inertion wa reduced. Retinochoroidal detachment wa detected poterior to the anterior vitreou bae inertion. Baed on thee imaging, clerotomy location were elected.
CONCLUION: Ultraound biomicrocopy may be ueful to ae anterior proliferative vitreoretinopathy preoperatively and to decide on clerotomy ite.
