Rah, fever, and chill after intravenou fluorecein angiography

PURPOE: To report a previouly unreported complication aociated with intravenou injection of fluorecein dye. METHOD: Cae report. A 75-year-old man developed a unique complication after intravenou injection of fluorecein dye for angiography. REULT: Two hour after receiving an intravenou injection of fluorecein for angiography, the patient developed a fever, rah, and chill. Admiion to a hopital and careful ytemic evaluation determined that thi reaction wa a noninfectiou allergic repone to intravenou fluorecein dye injection. CONCLUION: A delayed allergic repone to intravenou fluorecein dye injection can occur.
