Abstract :
PURPOE: To decribe a new modification of Cairn trabeculectomy.
METHOD: urgical adjutment include a mall, 3-mm, fornix-baed conjunctival flap, a circumferential cleral inciion at a ditance of only 1 mm from the corneocleral limbu, and a clerocorneal tunnel without cleral radial inciion.
REULT: Among the variou clinical and technical advantage of the procedure i the poibility of performing more operation through the uperior limbu rather than reverting to an inferior trabeculectomy or implantation of an aqueou hunt.
CONCLUION: The reduced urgical area and manipulation of the current procedure appear to offer advantage over the tandard approach.
