Foldable poterior chamber intraocular len implantation in the abence of capular and zonular upport

PURPOE: To implant foldable poterior chamber intraocular lene in the abence of capular and zonular upport. METHOD: Cae report. In two patient, two eye with aphakia, lack of capular or zonular upport, and contact len intolerance underwent the implantation of a ilicone and an acrylic foldable poterior chamber intraocular len, repectively. REULT: In the two eye, final viual acuity wa 20/25 and 20/50, repectively. No intraoperative vitreal, retinal, or choroidal complication were noted. The potoperative recovery wa rapid, and there wa minimal induced atigmatim. CONCLUION: The implantation of foldable poterior chamber intraocular lene in aphakic eye without capular and zonular upport may reult in fewer intraoperative complication. It alo allow for fater potoperative recovery and le potoperative atigmatim.
