Abstract
PURPOE: To preent a cae of retrobulbar optic nerve and chiam arcoidoi that mimicked peudotumor cerebri.
METHOD: A 34-year-old, thin, black woman preented with tranient viual obcuration, normal viual acuity, bilateral optic dik edema, and enlarged blind pot. Clinical, medical, and radiologic evaluation were conitent with peudotumor cerebri. The patient improved while taking acetazolamide, but 6 month later her ymptom worened. Neuroimaging dicloed enhancement of the optic nerve and chiam.
REULT: Depite adminitration of intravenou corticoteroid, the patient’ viion worened. Bilateral optic nerve heath fenetration were performed, and pathology dicloed arcoidoi.
CONCLUION: arcoidoi of the optic nerve and chiam may mimic peudotumor cerebri.
