Optic nerve hypoplaia with poterior pituitary ectopia: male predominance and nonaociation with breech delivery

PURPOE: To determine whether poterior pituitary ectopia in children with optic nerve hypoplaia ha a male predominance or an increaed incidence of breech delivery. METHOD: Retropective analyi of 12 children with optic nerve hypoplaia and poterior pituitary ectopia. REULT: Eleven of 12 patient with poterior pituitary ectopia were boy. No child had a hitory of breech delivery. Two children had a hitory of breech poitioning but were delivered by cearean ection. CONCLUION: Poterior pituitary ectopia with optic nerve hypoplaia how a trong male predominance but no aociation with breech delivery.
