Abstract :
PURPOE: To decribe an unuual hemorrhagic complication aociated with pupillary dilation in a patient with exfoliation glaucoma taking anticoagulation therapy.
METHOD: A 78-year-old woman with bilateral exfoliation glaucoma who wa receiving warfarin, 2 mg daily, for ytemic anticoagulation developed acute viual lo in the right eye everal hour after pupillary dilation.
REULT: Examination dicloed bilateral advanced exfoliation glaucoma, localized vacularized iridolenticular adheion in the right eye, and a 4-mm layered hyphema in the right eye.
CONCLUION: Patient with exfoliation glaucoma and vacularized poterior ynechiae who are receiving anticoagulation therapy are at increaed rik for viually ignificant pontaneou hyphema after pupillary dilation.
