Tople optic dik yndrome without maternal diabete mellitu

PURPOE: To decribe four cae of tople optic dik yndrome without maternal diabete mellitu. METHOD: Four patient had incidentally dicovered inferior viual field defect. REULT: Ophthalmocopic examination in all four patient dicloed uperiorly diplaced entrance of the central retinal artery and thinning of the uperior peripapillary nerve fiber layer. One patient had a uperior peripapillary crecent with pallor of the uperior dik. Thee clinical finding were conitent with a diagnoi of uperior egmental optic hypoplaia, the tople dik. None of the patient had mother who had diabete. CONCLUION: The tople optic dik yndrome can occur in the abence of maternal diabete mellitu.
