Photocoagulation of iri nevu to control recurrent hyphema

PURPOE: To report a cae of recurrent hyphema caued by an iri nevu that wa uccefully treated with photocoagulation. METHOD: Cae report. In a 30-year-old woman with recurrent hyphema econdary to an iri nevu, photocoagulation wa applied to the iri nevu. REULT: Before photocoagulation of the iri nevu, the patient had increaing frequency of hyphema epiode. After treatment, no hyphema epiode occurred during 13 month of obervation. CONCLUION: Photocoagulation of the urface of an iri nevu may prevent recurrent hyphema.
