Abstract :
PURPOE:
To report upraciliochoroidal effuion after trabeculectomy with the ue of ultraound biomicrocopy.
METHOD:
In a propective tudy, 28 eye of 19 patient with primary open-angle glaucoma that underwent trabeculectomy were evaluated preoperatively and potoperatively by ultraound biomicrocopy.
REULT:
Four eye howed a hypoechogenic uprachoroidal pace that remained table for 6 month potoperatively. Thee four eye had intraocular preure of 11 mm Hg or le on no antiglaucoma medication and without ign of choroidal detachment.
CONCLUION:
Ultraound biomicrocopy proved to be a ueful method of detecting, after trabeculectomy, upraciliochoroidal fluid without clinically detectable choroidal detachment. Thi fluid may ignify an iatrogenic cyclodialyi during urgery or, le likely, ubclinical ciliochoroidal detachment.
