No patient had necrotizing retinochoroiditi upon initial examination. Inflammation reolved in each of nine patient who had follow-up examination. Foci of retiniti or inactive retinochoroidal car were een in four of thee nine patient during follow-up examination, at interval of 2.0 week to 2.5 year after initial examination. CONCLUION: Retinal vaculiti and aociated inflammatory reaction may be the only ophthalmic diorder during the early tage of a newly acquired T. gondii infection. Later development of retiniti or car conitent with toxoplamic retinochoroiditi in the ame eye ugget that the initial, iolated inflammation may be caued by the preence of paraite in retinal tiue.
