Abstract :
PURPOE: %To tudy the cro-ection image of orange-red leion in eye with idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy and compare their protruion quantitatively with thoe of erou retinal pigment epithelium detachment. METHOD: Optical coherent tomography image canning remarkable orange-red leion in eye with idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy and erou retinal pigment epithelium detachment in age-related macular degeneration or central erou chorioretinopathy were propectively recorded. The correlation between the bae diameter and the height of the leion wa analyzed. REULT: Optical coherence tomography image how prominent anterior protruion of the orange-red leion. The ratio of the height to the bae diameter of the orange-red leion in eye with idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy i 0.32 ± 0.05, and it i ignificantly larger than leion in eye with erou retinal pigment epithelium detachment (0.18 ± 0.05, P< .001). CONCLUION: The orange-red leion in eye with idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy have a more harply peaked hape than erou retinal pigment epithelium detachment a a ubretinal tructure, uggeting polypoidal vacular leion in eye with idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy are ituated beneath the Bruch membrane and covered anteriorly with both the retinal pigment epithelium and the Bruch membrane.
