Central retinal artrey occluion aociated with head or neck pain revealing pontaneou internal carotid artery diection

PURPOE: To report two cae of head or neck pain and central retinal artery occluion aociated with pontaneou diection of the ipilateral internal carotid artery. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: We decribe two cae of udden viual lo caued by central retinal artery occluion. Both cae were preceded by ipilateral headache or neck pain and tinnitu. The patient had no other neurological ign or hitory of trauma. In both cae, cerebral angiography revealed ipilateral internal carotid artery diection. CONCLUION: Ipilateral headache or neck pain with tinnitu preceding central retinal artery occluion i highly uggetive of internal carotid artery diection. Early diagnoi and treatment may reduce the rik of hemipheric troke
