  • Abstract
PURPOE: To evaluate the ability of frequency doubling technology perimetry to detect early, moderate, and advanced glaucomatou viual field lo. METHOD: In a propective tudy, frequency doubling technology perimetry (C-20 full threhold) wa performed in the right eye of 254 normal control ubject and 230 patient with early (n = 85), moderate (n = 114), or advanced (n = 31) glaucomatou viual field lo. Previou Humphrey Field Analyzer tet reult were ued to claify glaucomatou viual field lo a early (mean deviation no wore than −6 dB), moderate (mean deviation between −6 and −12 dB) or advanced (mean deviation between −12 and −22 dB). REULT: Receiver operating characteritic curve howed 100% enitivity and pecificity (area under the curve, 1.0) for detecting advanced glaucomatou viual field lo, approximately 96% enitivity and 96% pecificity (area under the curve, 0.9751) for detecting moderate glaucomatou viual field lo, and approximately 85% enitivity and 90% pecificity (area under the curve, 0.9261) for early glaucomatou viual field lo. CONCLUION: Frequency doubling technology perimetry demontrate high enitivity and pecificity for detection of early, moderate, and advanced glaucomatou viual field lo.
