Cox-2 expreion in retinoblatoma

PURPOE: Cox-2, a protaglandin ynthae, i overexpreed in colorectal cancer and i involved in angiogenei a well a in tumorigenei. In thi tudy, we invetigate the expreion of Cox-2 in retinoblatoma. METHOD: Twenty-nine formalin-fixed retinoblatoma pecimen were examined by the labeled-treptavidin-biotin method uing anti-Cox-2 antibody. REULT: Cox-2 poitive immunoreaction were oberved in 28 (96%) of 29 retinoblatoma pecimen. CONCLUION: Thi preliminary tudy ugget the overexpreion of Cox-2 in both differentiated and undifferentiated retinoblatoma and it poible role in tumorigenei.
