Abstract :
PURPOE: To document the unique occurrence of multiple cutaneou capillary hemangioma in healthy triplet. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: Triplet born 6 week prematurely were noted at birth to have claic cutaneou capillary hemangioma that enlarged in the firt few month of life. At 3 month of age, triplet #1 manifeted a mall capillary hemangioma on the left index finger and a large hemangioma that involved the entire left upper eyelid and completely occluded the viual axi. Triplet #2 had a mall hemangioma on the thumb and a large hemangioma on the calp of the forehead. Triplet #3 diplayed only a minor hemangioma of the right upper eyelid that did not threaten her viion. The parent of the triplet admitted having a hitory of periocular capillary hemangioma that pontaneouly reolved. Triplet #1 wa managed with oral corticoteroid, with dramatic regreion of the ma and expoure of the viual axi. CONCLUION: Cutaneou capillary hemangioma i uually a poradic condition. We found thi tumor in premature triplet whoe parent had a hitory of a imilar tumor. Thi ugget that hereditary and environmental factor may play a role in the development of thi tumor. We advie that medical and family hitorie be obtained in all children with cutaneou capillary hemangioma.
