Idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy and ickle cell retinopathy

PURPOE: To report a patient who had concomitant idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy and ickle cell retinopathy. METHOD: Cae report. A 46-year-old black woman preented with udden onet of “blurring” in the left eye. Her ocular hitory wa unremarkable, and her medical hitory wa relevant for ickle cell dieae with yearly epiode of ickle cell crie. REULT: Both eye had evidence of idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy and peripheral retinal neovacularization econdary to ickle cell dieae. The left eye had hemorrhagic retinal pigment epithelial detachment econdary to idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy. CONCLUION: We preent thi cae a an example of concomitant ickle cell retinopathy and idiopathic polypoidal choroidal vaculopathy. We are unaware of previou report with thee finding.
