Abstract :
PURPOE: To decribe the clinical coure and treatment with immunomodulatory agent in patient with tubulointertitial nephriti and uveiti yndrome. METHOD: Retropective analyi of the chart of ix patient with tubulointertitial nephriti and uveiti yndrome. REULT: The mean (±D) age wa 24.3 (±16.5) year, range 13 to 49 year. Four patient were children, and two were adult. Three were men, and three were women. Five of the ix patient had anterior uveiti, and one had panuveiti. All patient had everal relape depite treatment with topical, regional, and oral teroid and methotrexate in one cae. The introduction or modification of immunouppreant (methotrexate, azathioprine, or cycloporin A) achieved control of the uveiti and prevented relape over a mean (±D) follow-up period of 19.66 (±10.01) month, range 6 to 34 month. No treatment-related ide effect were oberved. CONCLUION: Tubulointertitial nephriti and uveiti yndrome i a ditinct dieae entity in which the nephriti typically reolve, but the uveiti often become chronic and i treatment reitant. Immunomodulatory agent can achieve control of the inflammation and prevent relape
