Nd:YAG laer corneal diruption a adjuvant treatment for infectiou crytalline keratopathy

PURPOE: To report on the ue of the Nd:YAG laer corneal diruption in the treatment of infectiou crytalline keratopathy. METHOD: Cae report. A 52-year-old woman with infectiou crytalline keratopathy unreponive to topical antibiotic wa treated with an Nd:YAG laer to the intratromal crytal. REULT: After Nd:YAG laer treatment, the infiltrate completely cleared within 4 week. CONCLUION: Nd:YAG laer treatment may be effective in dirupting the protective glycocalyx matrix within the intratromal crytal, rendering the bacteria uceptible to topical antibiotic. Thi treatment hould be conidered for patient with infectiou crytalline keratopathy clinically reitant to topical antibiotic.
