Abstract :
%PURPOE: To preent a cae of chemical injury and a cae of thermal injury treated by amniotic membrane tranplantation in acute phae. METHOD: Cae report. An eye with odium hydroxide injury, opaque cornea, and limbal ichemia of more than 180 degree and an eye with hot tea injury, opaque cornea, tromal edema, and carring were treated by amniotic membrane tranplantation within the firt few week of injury. REULT: In the eye with odium hydroxide injury, 4 month after amniotic membrane tranplantation, the ocular urface i table, uperficial corneal carring with vacularization i preent, and viual acuity i 20/25. In the eye with thermal injury, 6 month after amniotic membrane tranplantation, the ocular urface i table, but there i uperficial carring and vacularization, and viual acuity i 20/20. CONCLUION: Amniotic membrane tranplantation can be conidered in chemical injury with evere limbal ichemia and in evere thermal injury in acute phae. Long-term tudie are warranted to evaluate further the efficacy of amniotic membrane tranplantation in thee clinical ituation.
