Traumatic diplacement of the globe into the ethmoid inu

PURPOE: To decribe diplacement of the globe into the ethmoid inu after an orbital trauma. METHOD: Cae report. A 58-year-old man utained trauma of the left eye and orbit, which reulted in diplacement of the globe into the ethmoid inu. One day after injury, urgery wa performed to retore the intact globe into poition within the orbit. REULT: After operation, the globe held in it anatomical ite, and 10 month after urgery the viual acuity wa 20/100, light pallor of the optic dik wa preent, and there wa no limitation of the horizontal and vertical duction. CONCLUION: To our knowledge, thi i the firt cae of traumatic diplacement of the globe into the ethmoid inu with atifactory retoration of normal globe poition and preervation of viion.
