Abstract :
PURPOE: To invetigate retrobulbar hemodynamic by mean of color Doppler imaging in normal-tenion glaucoma with aymmetric viual field change and aymmetric ocular perfuion preure. METHOD: Forty-nine conecutive patient who met the enrollment criteria were enrolled in a propective tudy. We meaured intraocular preure at 2-hour interval for 24 hour and performed color Doppler imaging of the orbital arterie, 48-hour ambulatory blood preure monitoring, and viual field teting. Color Doppler parameter were compared between ubject with higher ocular perfuion preure in the eye that had a better mean deviation (concordant group) and wore mean deviation (dicordant group). REULT: In the eye with the better mean deviation, the end-diatolic velocity of the ophthalmic artery wa ignificantly lower in the dicordant group (P=.0145), while in the eye with the wore mean deviation, the peak ytolic and end-diatolic velocitie of the ophthalmic artery were ignificantly lower and the reitance index of the ophthalmic artery wa ignificantly higher in the dicordant group (P=.0395, P=.0088, and P=.0324, repectively). In the concordant group, the end-diatolic velocity of the central retinal artery wa lower in eye with a wore mean deviation. CONCLUION: Retrobulbar hemodynamic are ignificantly altered in patient with normal-tenion glaucoma who have better ocular perfuion preure in the eye that ha a wore mean deviation
