Abstract
PURPOE: To decribe preumed activation of herpetic keratouveiti after argon laer peripheral iridotomy.
METHOD: Cae report.
REULT: A 68-year-old man developed chronic, unilateral, anterior uveiti aociated with decreaed corneal enation, focal keratiti, and increaed intraocular preure after argon laer peripheral iridotomy. Treatment with oral acyclovir and dicontinuation of topical latanoprot reulted in prompt and continued control of both the intraocular inflammation and preure.
CONCLUION: Herpetic keratouveiti may occur after argon laer iridotomy, and it hould be conidered when potoperative inflammation perit depite appropriate ue of topical corticoteroid, particularly in patient with a hitory of herpetic eye dieae
