Unuual corneal depoit after the topical ue of cycloporine a eyedrop

PURPOE: To report a patient who developed bilateral corneal opacitie 5 day after the beginning topical cycloporine. METHOD: Cae report. A 45-year-old woman with graft-veru-hot dieae preented with bilateral corneal depoit. he had been treated with topical phyiological aline olution, odium hyaluronate, ofloxacin, fluorometholone, and oxybuprocaine. Cycloporine eyedrop were added for peritent corneal epithelial defect bilaterally. Five day after cycloporine, he complained of viual lo and dene corneal opacitie were detected that covered the pupil bilaterally. REULT: Depoit were alo oberved on the punctal plug, and infrared pectrocopy and X-ray analyi howed that thee depoit had propertie of cycloporine. CONCLUION: Topical cycloporine, alone or in combination with other eyedrop, may caue evere corneal depoit in patient with diturbance of the corneal epithelial barrier and decreaed tear clearance
