Decemet membrane detachment after vicocanalotomy

PURPOE: To report a cae that developed a large Decemet membrane detachment after vicocanalotomy. METHOD: Cae report. A 60-year-old man with primary open-angle glaucoma underwent vicocanalotomy RE. One day after urgery, a mall, localized detachment of Decemet membrane wa preent at the operation ite. ix month after urgery, he had a large uperior Decemet membrane detachment involving hi viual axi. REULT: The Decemet membrane remained attached after decemetopexy with odium hyaluronate and air. Final viual acuity wa 20/80, and intraocular preure wa 17 mm Hg without medication. CONCLUION: Detachment of the Decemet membrane hould be recognized a a potential complication of vicocanalotomy.
