Tubercular endophthalmiti imulating retinoblatoma

PURPOE: To report a cae of tubercular endophthalmiti imulating retinoblatoma. METHOD: Cae report. An 8-year-old female preented with a hitory of complete lo of viion and a white pupillary reflex in the left eye of 3 month’ duration. REULT: Retinoblatoma could not be excluded on the bai of clinical examination and relevant invetigational tudie. In the left eye, a computed tomography (CT) can demontrated a large vitreou ma with foci of calcification. Enucleation in the left eye wa performed, and hitopathological examination revealed a chronic granulomatou endophthalmiti and acid-fat bacilli conitent with tubercular pathology. CONCLUION: Thi cae illutrate that tubercular endophthalmiti with leukocoria and a vitreou ma containing focal calcification may imulate retinoblatoma.
