Abstract
PURPOE: To report a cae of viual improvement after macular tranlocation performed for a ubfoveal choroidal neovacular membrane in a patient with peudoxanthoma elaticum and angioid treak.
METHOD: The fovea wa tranlocated inferiorly by cleral imbrication, intentional retinal detachment with a mall poterior retinotomy, and partial fluid–air exchange. The choroidal neovacular membrane wa photocoagulated 1 week later.
REULT: The viual acuity of the patient improved from 20/125 to 20/40. The center of the foveal avacular zone wa moved inferiorly 844 μm. The choroidal neovacular membrane wa extrafoveal after tranlocation and wa treated with laer photocoagulation.
CONCLUION: Macular tranlocation may be conidered in the management of ubfoveal choroidal neovacular membrane in patient with peudoxanthoma elaticum and angioid treak
