Ectopic chordoma with orbital invaion

PURPOE: To report a rare ectopic chordoma within the orbital wall. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 63-year-old woman developed welling of the eyelid, tearing, blurred viion, and progreive proptoi RE of 1 month’ duration. Neuroimaging tudie revealed an oteolytic ma with epicenter at the phenozygomatic uture that eroded intracranially, invaded into the orbit, and compreed orbital oft tiue. urgical debulking wa done followed by radiation treatment. The pathologic finding of phyaliphorou epithelial cell with multiple vacuole containing mucin, prominent nuclei, and poitive immunohitochemical taining for -100, Vimentin, epithelial membrane antigen, and pancytokeratin were diagnotic for chordoma. CONCLUION: Orbital wall ectopic localization of a chordoma ditant from the clivu i a rare occurrence.
