Abstract :
PURPOE: To decribe three myopic patient who developed unilateral macular hole after undergoing bilateral laer in itu keratomileui or photorefractive keratectomy. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: Three eye of three myopic patient developed a macular hole in one eye after bilateral laer in itu keratomileui or photorefractive keratectomy. The macular hole formed between 4 to 7 week after laer in itu keratomileui in cae 1 (a 48-year-old woman), and within 2 month after laer in itu keratomileui in cae 2 (a 36-year-old woman). In cae 3 (a 45-year-old man), the macular hole wa found 9 month after photorefractive keratectomy. A vitrectomy cloed the macular hole of cae 1 with final bet-corrected viual acuity of 20/25 and cae 2 with 20/30, wherea cae 3 declined further urgery. CONCLUION: A macular hole may develop in myopic eye after laer in itu keratomileui or photorefractive keratectomy. Vitreoretinal interface change may play a role
