Acrylic intraocular len placement in conjunction with par plana vitrectomy

PURPOE: To report the reult of placing a foldable acrylic intraocular len through a clear cornea inciion in eye undergoing par plana vitrectomy. METHOD: Thi interventional cae erie i a retropective report of 15 eye of 15 conecutive patient undergoing foldable (acrylic) intraocular len inertion in conjunction with par plana vitrectomy in a ingle academic intitution. Outcome meaure included viual acuity and complication. REULT: The intraocular len wa uccefully implanted and retained in poition in all 15 cae. The intraocular len did not poe difficulty in examining the fundu or caue any vitreoretinal complication. With mean follow-up of 4.5 month (range, 1–10 month), final median potoperative viual acuity range wa 20/200 (range, 20/40–2/200) and conitent with the level of vitreoretinal dieae. CONCLUION: Acrylic intraocular lene may be afely implanted in conjunction with par plana vitrectomy in elected cae
