Axial length and refractive error in X-linked retinochii

PURPOE: To examine the relationhip between axial length and refractive error in patient with X-linked retinochii. DEIGN: To determine whether the hypermetropia frequently found in patient with X-linked retinochii i axial hypermetropia. METHOD: The axial length and refractive error were meaured in 29 right eye of 29 patient. The patient were divided into two group: a juvenile group with age <13 year (12 eye) and an adult group with age ≥13 year (17 eye). The axial length of the right eye of 30 adult men without eye dieae whoe refractive error ranged from ± 1.0 diopter erved a control. REULT: In the adult patient group, the refractive error wa ignificantly more hypermetropic and the axial length wa ignificantly horter than wa the normal adult group (P < .001). CONCLUION: Thee reult trongly ugget that the hypermetropia in patient with X-linked retinochii i axial hypermetropia.
