Glaucoma drainage tube kink after par plana inertion

PURPOE: To decribe focal obtruction of drainage tube by kinking at the cleral entry ite after par plana inertion. METHOD: Cae tudy. REULT: Three eye of three patient underwent uncomplicated placement of a Baerveldt implant into the vitreou cavity at the time of par plana vitrectomy. Intraocular preure remained increaed after the procedure without evidence of flow. urgical exploration and modification of the tube placement reulted in immediate intraocular preure reduction. Compreion of the tube at the cleral entry ite wa confirmed intraoperatively in all eye by ultraound biomicrocopy. CONCLUION: Kinking of the tube at it cleral entry ite hould be recognized a a poible caue of increaed intraocular preure without bleb formation after par plana inertion of a glaucoma drainage implant
