Progreive outer retinal necroi and acute retinal necroi in fellow eye of a patient with acquired immunodeficiency yndrome

PURPOE: To decribe an unuual concurrence of acute retinal necroi and progreive outer retinal necroi in fellow eye of a patient with acquired immunodeficiency yndrome (AID). METHOD: Interventional cae report. In a 37-year-old man with AID and herpe zoter keratiti in the right eye, progreive outer retinal necroi developed in the right eye and acute retinal necroi developed in the left eye. REULT: Diparate preentation of retiniti perited in each eye, and retinal detachment and viion lo enued in both eye depite antiviral therapy. CONCLUION: Ditinct feature of acute retinal necroi and progreive outer retinal necroi do not necearily reflect ytemic factor, and they may be variant manifetation of the ame underlying infection.
