Localization of pot-traumatic trochlear nerve paly aociated with hemorrhage at the ubarachnoid pace by magnetic reonance imaging

PURPOE: To report evaluation of traumatic trochlear nerve paly uing head magnetic reonance imaging. DEIGN: Obervational cae report. METHOD: We examined two cae involving trochlear nerve paly after cloed head injury. REULT: Uing a fluid attenuated inverion recovery pule equence, MRI howed a high-intenity leion conitent with ubarachnoid hemorrhage at the trochlear nerve area in the ambient citern. CONCLUION: An impact force directed toward the tentorium can be a mechanim of injury in ome pot-traumatic trochlear nerve palie. Fluid attenuated inverion recovery pule equence i a enitive method for detection of abnormalitie in cae aociated with head injury.
