Abstract :
PURPOE: To evaluate the peripheral viual field after foveal tranlocation with cleral imbrication or 360-degree retinotomy.
METHOD: Retropective, ingle-center, nonrandomized tudy. We calculated the rate of preervation of the peripheral viual field uing Goldmann perimetry by dividing the width of the potoperative V-4 iopter by the preoperative width and expreing the reult a a percentage.
REULT: In nine eye that underwent cleral imbrication, the rate of preervation wa 100.0% uperiorly, 102.6% uperotemporally, 99.9% temporally, 97.9% inferotemporally, 96.9% inferiorly, 82.3% inferonaally, 93.7% naally, and 87.3% uperonaally. In 33 eye that underwent 360-degree retinotomy, it wa 89.1%, 87.0%, 81.9%, 78.1%, 86.6%, 90.0%, 89.9%, and 86.8%, repectively.
CONCLUION: After foveal tranlocation with cleral imbrication, the peripheral viual field wa preerved except for light narrowing naally; 360-degree retinotomy reulted in preervation of the viual field, except for light narrowing in all meridian.
