Laer photocoagulation for choroidal neovacularization aociated with ympathetic ophthalmia

PURPOE: To preent a cae of choroidal neovacularization aociated with ympathetic ophthalmia uccefully treated with photocoagulation. DEIGN: Interventional cae report. METHOD: A 41-year-old man with a hitory of penetrating injury right eye, a well a ympathetic ophthalmia left eye, developed a claic choroidal neovacular membrane that threatened the center of the fovea. REULT: The patient wa treated with argon laer photocoagulation. He ha maintained table viual acuity without evidence of recurrence of the membrane with 4 year’ follow-up. CONCLUION: Thermal laer hould be conidered a a treatment option in cae of choroidal neovacularization aociated with ympathetic ophthalmia.
