Unilateral papilledema caued by a fronto-temporo-parietal arachnoid cyt

PURPOE: To report a cae of unilateral papilledema caued by an arachnoid cyt. METHOD: Interventional cae report. REULT: A 36-year-old woman preented with unilateral papilledema in the left eye. Magnetic reonance imaging (MRI) of the brain demontrated a large fronto-temporo-parietal arachnoid cyt in the left hemiphere. The papilledema reolved after placement of a cyto-peritoneal hunt that drained the cerebropinal fluid directly from the arachoid cyt into the peritoneum. CONCLUION: Papilledema caued by increaed intracranial preure i uually bilateral; unilateral papilledema i poible under pecial anatomical circumtance.
