Keratiti caued by candida glabrata in a patient with chronic granulomatou dieae

PURPOE: To report an unuual ocular preentation of Candida glabrata in a patient with chronic granulomatou dieae. METHOD: Interventional cae report. A 15-year-old boy with chronic granulomatou dieae preented with bilateral limbal infiltrate. He had been receiving broad-pectrum ytemic antibiotic for recurrent liver abcee. The keratiti did not repond to antibiotic and did not reolve after a coure of topical teroid. REULT: Corneal culture revealed Candida glabrata. The ame pecie wa imultaneouly iolated from the urgical drainage of the liver abcee. The ocular and hepatic finding reolved on intravenou amphotericin B. CONCLUION: Candida glabrata ha recently emerged a an important noocomial pathogen. It may preent a a limbal keratiti in the etting of ytemic infection.
