Delayed orbital hemorrhage after cataract urgery in a patient with an acquired factor VIII inhibitor

PURPOE: To report the occurrence of delayed orbital hemorrhage after cataract urgery with retrobulbar anetheia in a patient with previouly unknown acquired factor VIII antibodie. METHOD: Interventional cae report. A 79-year-old woman underwent uneventful cataract urgery with retrobulbar anetheia and ubequently incurred a evere orbital hemorrhage 12 hour potoperatively. REULT: Depite aggreive urgical and medical intervention, the patient lot all viion in the involved eye. CONCLUION: Delayed potoperative retrobulbar hemorrhage may caue total lo of viion in patient with acquired factor VIII antibodie.
