Abstract :
PURPOE: To eaily perform reliable color Doppler imaging of the orbital veel in eated ubject. DEIGN: Experimental tudy. METHOD: Experimental tudy. An apparatu mounting the color Doppler imaging probe through a pring plate on a lit-lamp ytem wa devied. In 16 eye of eight eated ubject, color Doppler imaging aement of the central retinal artery uing the apparatu and by the examiner’ handheld manipulation were repeated with a 10-minute interval. The reproducibility coefficient were calculated regarding the color Doppler imaging indice, including peak ytolic velocity, end diatolic velocity, and reitive index. REULT: The color Doppler imaging indice obtained with the apparatu howed no ignificant difference from thoe obtained by handheld manipulation. The time required for each meaurement uing the apparatu wa horter than that by handheld manipulation, and reproducibility coefficient were ignificantly maller by about 50%. CONCLUION: Color Doppler imaging can be eaily performed with good reproducibility in eated ubject uing thi apparatu.
