Abstract
PURPOE: To report the ucceful control of intraocular preure with endocopic cyclophotocoagulation after repeated failure of tran-cleral diode-laer cyclophotocoagulation.
DEIGN: Interventional cae report.
METHOD: A 3 1/2-year-old child had intraocular preure around 30 mm Hg in one eye depite full medical treatment and three procedure of tran-cleral diode laer photocoagulation.
REULT: Endocopic view of the ciliary body revealed many miplaced laer burn in the par plana region. Uing direct endocopic viualization of the ciliary body, precie, confluent burn were applied to the ciliary body. ix month after the procedure, intraocular preure ha remained under 20 mm Hg.
CONCLUION: Endocopic cyclophotocoagulation can effectively lower intraocular preure after recurrent external diode-laer photocoagulation ha failed to do o. The direct viualization during the endocopic procedure i particularly advantageou in cae with atypical ciliary body morphology, uch a in pediatric glaucoma
