Two new forcep for ue during and after dacryocytorhinotomy

PURPOE: To report two new forcep for ue during and after external dacryocytorhinotomy (E-DCR). Decription of urgical intrument i provided. METHOD: Interventional cae erie. The E-DCR forcep were modified from the uual ophthalmic forcep, and they were deigned for graping the poterior flap in the narrow and deep urgical region. The wahout forcep under the trannaal endocopic (TNE) examination conit of the uual otolaryngeal forcep with an injector tip at the apex to wah out dicharge around the otium in the naal cavity. REULT: In conecutive 28 E-DCR procedure cae (25 patient), E-DCR wa uccefully performed uing the E-DCR forcep. Thi forcep wa ueful to uture the poterior flap in all cae. The wahout forcep wa available to remove the congealed dicharge that could not be apirated. CONCLUION: Thee two forcep proved to be ueful during and after the E-DCR procedure.
